Having my own business that is very reliant on IT (website, servers etc), it is very important for me to have good IT Support in place for when things inevitably go wrong. So far the last year has been very quiet for us on the IT front, but last year we did have some problems with the backing up on our server and we used IT support Birmingham who were great to deal with and got the problem sorted in just a few hours. Unbeknown to us the back up had been running but not correctly, so a lot of our work was not being backed up. When you consider the amount of time and effort that goes into things, it is essential for us to have confidence that it is all backed up should we have any issues with the in house servers. With IT Support it is one things having someone on the end of the phone, but the key thing for us was having someone local who could come to the office when we needed help. Without that it was not really of interest, over the phone stuff is great but we have a fair amount of hardware so making sure that is all covered is really important.
From my perspective having a decent IT Support firm in place is essential to my business and I couldn’t do without it. The risk of things going wrong is too much so we need to be on the ball when there are problems to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
